Hello Mates, It’s Monday

by Nicci on 10/26/2009

I think today was the best Monday, in a very long time.  I went with the flow of my ”Things to Do”  list at work and accomplished everything.  Feels great when you stick to a plan!  To my surprise the board meeting only lasted an hour, which was great considering I was getting sleepy at the end.

I passed on the doughnuts this morning and went with a banana nut muffin.

POM also sent me some samples of their coffee to try, which was great with my muffin.

Lunch was some veggie spaghetti and apple slices. While I played on the Internet and fixed my Facebook account.  I hate when they change the layouts…it’s annoying.

We went with Jason’s Deli for our board meeting and I tried the Spinach Wrap.  Nothing special considering they smooshed my wraps.

It appeared to look like one tiny wrap but was two…couldn’t tell from the smooshing. BOO!

Spinach, mushrooms, sprouts, feta cheese…it was still good.

Yummy cup of fruit.

I would workout, but my body’s still in pain from Saturday’s Boot Camp.  Chris thinks it’s funny to chase me around and tickle me.  Nope, I can’t even run from him…more like ‘‘Zombie Walking’‘,  I’m that slow. lol

I leave you with some Pirate Love from Saturday.

Attempting to look mean…but I’m just too sweet.

I have a weakness for Shiner Beer, the ”best dark beer” in Texas.  I’d like to take a trip to Shiner, Tx to visit the brewery sometime next year.

Good Night :)

How To Have A Successful Work Week:

  1. Plan ahead starting with Friday, clear off your desk before leaving work
  2. Use a list to stay organized day by day…if possible
  3. Screen calls if you can
  4. Any new items on your list go to bottom (unless urgent)
  5. Take your time and breathe

How do you have a successful Monday? What do you do, and what is your biggest challenge?

Boot Camp for Breast Cancer

by Nicci on 10/24/2009

I can’t believe I haven’t posted since Wednesday, almost broke down at work due to overload  and stress.  Trust me, you do not want to see my Google Reader…it’s close to 400. Weekend is here and I feel GREAT!

Earlier this morning my friend Kirstyn and her sister Amber and I went to a Fitness Boot Camp in Dallas to support Breast Cancer.  I love finding events through Twitter. We brought our mats, weights and water bottles. I was pumped and ready to go this morning.

Many people came out to the boot camp.

nicoles pics 046

  1. Killer AB work (during so called break time) lol
  2. Three obstacle courses
  3. Lots of water chugged

This was me after we finished, I was tired but I did have fun.

I grabbed a banana before we left.

Followed by a Power Bar I ate in the car.

Yay! for more Smart water too :)

I enjoyed Boot Camp and maybe we’ll do it every 3 months or next year. It definitely gave me a good workout today considering I’d been lacking this week.

Plus, I got a free  Marie Antoinette t-shirt!  I don’t think the movie has anything to do with Camp except that they were pink and black.

I’ll probably start feeling sore in a few hours but I have a Halloween B-day Party tonight &  Block Party to attend.  Can’t wait to wear my costume!

Have a great Saturday :)

Have you ever been to a boot camp, what was your experience like??

Pb&J My HuMp DaY

by Nicci on 10/21/2009

I couldn’t wait till Noon, I needed a PB&J sandwich for breakfast.

Along w/ a glass of milk and orange slices.

nicoles pics 042

Great way to fuel after doing some cardio to Crunch Fat Burning Dance.  I hope my neighbors downstairs are okay with my hip hop and stomping in the morning. (kidding I’m actually really light on my feet). I said I’d only do 30 minutes but I went ahead and finished the DVD of 45 min.  I feel like I have more energy after morning fitness.

Plus I felt like I had no rhythm when I first turned on the tape, due to sleepiness :)

nicoles pics 021

I love Jennifer Galardi; wish she had more workouts on Exercise TV.

Happy Hump Day…off to work.

Do you prefer morning or evening workouts??
