Relaxing, Peaceful Day

by Nicci on 01/09/2010

Saturdays Agenda:

I know I should go for a run outside but I will settle for my treadmill at my Moms…it’s too cold.  This morning I didn’t make it to Yoga, drunk promises are never the same the next morning. :)

New Things, New Year

  • Anusara Yoga- I have to thank Trinity for introducing me to this type of Yoga and the studio she attends. I felt relaxed and at peace all week long.  Anusara Yoga is about ”Attitude, Alignment and Action” and I felt a difference in my mood all week.
  • Homemade Sushi- last night’s dinner with Kristin, TrinityKelsey.  We were so proud of ourselves…blog post to come soon.
  • Karaoke in Public- I’ve been singing karaoke in the privacy of a friends home for over a year, but I was brave and sang in public. I’m ready world….here I come!!

Currently sipping on Chai Tea and reading a magazine.

Munching on Raw Granola courtesy of my ”Blogger Secret Santa” Rebecca from ”All Vegged Out”.  Thanks girl!

See my care package I received filled with goodies.

I can’t wait to use the Chia Seeds in my oats.  I’ve already used the Raw Cacao in my banana soft serve…it’s yummy!

I’m off to make a late lunch, thinking a salad beast is in my future.

I love the concept of drunken promises. Well, kind of… It made me chuckle anyway.

Making sushi is the best! I did it with some friends last week and we couldn’t believe how easy it was!

Ohhh man, public karaoke is on my bucket list. I haven’t even managed to do it in front of friends yet, even though I’ve sang in choirs numerous times. I’m such a chicken!! Congrats on trying new things!!

It sounds like you are having a lovely Saturday =)

I’m impressed that you made sushi. I’ve always wanted to try but never thought I could do it.

I did karaoke once last summer. I definitely had a few drinks beforehand. It was fun even though I have a horrible singing voice!

Karaoke was so fun! I can’t wait to do Ace of Base! And I’m really glad you’re digging the yoga studio- it’s such a wonderful place to explore possibilities (though of course, I didn’t make it to yoga today). Also, the raw granola looks so, SO good… mmm!

Yay for Karaoke! That is very cool! I can’t carry a tune to save my life…I even sound bad in the shower! Whenever I try to sing my husband just laughs and shakes his head! It is definitely not a talent I possess! But good for you for being brave announcing yourself to the world…karaoke style!!

That granola looks really tasty!
