”It’s time to try
Defying gravity
I think I’ll try
Defying gravity
And you can’t pull me down!”
I love Wicked, I’m currently reading the book and it’s nothing like the musical but I still love it! I saw the musical 2 years ago with my friend Jessica & Jeremy!
I was so excited to be going, I wanted my picture taken with every Wicked poster I saw!! (I’m a dork)
I grilled a chicken breast for lunch & tossed it on top of a big salad!
Simple salad of lettuce, tomatoes, low fat shredded cheese, feta and S&P.
I’ve been slacking in the salad area lately but this was just what I needed.
I opened up another package of Dr. Krackers flat bread to eat with the salad. This was the Pumpkin Seed flat bread which worked great with the salad.
They are really crunchy too, I’ll do my review of their crackers later this week.
Back to reading Wicked!!
What’s your favorite musical?

Oh gosh, I was a theater kid, so I love a lot of musicals. I think my favorite is Rent, but Chicago has such good music, and I saw Spring Awakening in NYC and it was SO GOOD. I haven’t seen Wicked but Defying Gravity is definitely on my Broadway workout playlist.
I loved Spring Awakening! But of course Wicked was amazing–Defying Gravity might be my all-time favorite song from a musical!
I LOVED Wicked!!!! I have the soundtrack on my Ipod and Defying Gravity is my favorite! I may even take my daughters to see it when it comes back this way in Jan. !
I play the soundtrack in my car 24/7!! love love love it
I’ve never seen Wicked, but I read the book.
I really love “Annie Get Your Gun”… I saw it with Bernadette Peters years ago, and I still know all the songs!
I LOVE salads! I like them with a lot of STUFF tho. Adds more calories but its normally healthier stuff like other veggies… hummus… stuff like that. go girl!
Ooh have fun at Wicked! I’m not much of a musical girl, but I would like to see this.
ahh the pumpkin seed crackers are my fav soooo good with the salad- the perfect amount of crunch! yum! and okay i am such a picture dork too- i seriously am like the biggest tacky tourist when it comes to things like that- i wouldnt have it any other way haha hope you had a great weekend!
Oh let us know how the book is!! Tough decision on my favorite musical though..
mmm those Pumpkin Seed flat breads look fabulous! I love flat breads- especially the TJs variety! They go perfect with salads. Favorite musical? Hmmm probably Phantom
Wiked is my favorite. I read the book first since at the time there wasn’t even a musical yet. I read it while I was in college and taking a medical ethics class. I don’t know about you (I may have read to deep into the book), but I found so many ethic issues mentioned in the book. the book was very deep, and yes, the play is not exactly the same. I loved the play though. Amazing. I am going to visit my aunt in NYC soon and we are going to see a show, but I don’t know which one yet. Glad you enjoyed the show.
I love musicals and Mallard hates them. Therefore, I haven’t been to a musical in three years!
I know these crackers are yummy. I’m trying not to open all of them up at once.
I just found your blog and was excited to see that song on the most current post. I love Wicked! But my heart still belongs to Les Miserables.
I love those crackers! I live in NY and still haven’t seen a musical yet. How lame am I? Have a great night.
i can’t believe i haven’t seen wicked…if i ever get a chance i’m sure it’ll be my favorite musical!
Aww sad (in reference to comment above). I LOVE musicals. I’ve been in quite a few and can’t get enough of show tunes. I’ve also seen a ton of musicals, including Wicked, which I loved. My fave musical has to be Les Miserables, which I’ve seen 3 times!
I’m sorry to addmit this, but I hate musicals. I only ever liked West Side Story and The Sound of Music when I was little, but now I just can’t stand them. I think if I had to watch one it would be the Queen one, I can’t remember what it’s called.
Your simple salad looks divine.
