Taking a Big Leap

by Nicci on 08/11/2009

I said I was going to transition slowly into vegetariansim and I think now is the appropriate time for me. Now that Chris and I have a place together I am the sole cook at home. I don’t think it will be hard trying to cook the same meals and subbing one plate to be vegetarian. Although Chris loves my cooking and has said he would eat whatever I make. So far, that seems to be true; were not eating red meat. This is one small change I’ve made, now to tackle all meat. I know I can do this but it’s just a matter of gettin back on track. I was a veggie for 2 years before. My sole reasons are for healthier eating. When I don’t eat meat, I stay away from all fast foods. This is something I need to try one more time. Wish me luck as I begin this lifestyle!

Thanks for the advice.
Funny… I just read this post and have been on the fence lately about going completely vegetarian. My hubby is a total meat eater so I would have to do both. I just have a hard time letting go of dairy! I am not a huge meat eater so that part doesn't scare me too much!

Good luck with the change! I'm vegan and my boyfriend is an omnivore. He'll usually eat my vegan meals but will once in a while add a chicken breast to his meal. Good luck!
