Spinach Dogs

by Nicci on 09/01/2009

I think my Tuesday is every one’s Monday; my days are switched around.  Tonight I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to spend too much time on cooking, so I was a naughty foodie &  did turkey dogs tonight.

I made spinach hummus dip and I don’t think it’s going to last that long b/c it ‘s just that AMAZING!  I made the hummus yesterday and forgot to devour it, after it chilled in the frig.  Happy to say I’ve leaned to cut  down on processed meats but I still love turkey dogs.

I spread the spinach hummus all over those dogs, buns included :)

Here’s my tasty spinach hummus I made…it’s too good.

Dr. Kracker also sent me all kinds of samples to try, I’ll be doing a review on these next week.  Many different flavors to come.

I felt this flavor, ”Hummus Maximus”, was perfect for dipping. :)

I think I’ll be adding this hummus to my turkey dogs in the future.  I didn’t miss mayo, ketchup or mustard either.

I have yet to decide on where to take yoga, so I popped in a yoga dvd this afternoon. I feel like I just went grocery shopping last week, but I guess it’s that time again.  Chris & I decided were getting a Sam’s card next week.  Buying in bulk would work out better for us.

Plus I feel I spend too much on veggies and fruits, even with my price matching (I’m not ashamed, I save lots that way!!)  Lunch today was AB with apple slices and grilled cheese/spinach sammies! Not the best looking pics so I’ll spare you on that.

Now 1 minute to Big Brother! peaceGood Night!

Ooooh, Doctor Crackers! I love those. I tried those the other week — they were like parmesan or something, not the same variety you had, but definitely worth another shot.

Pam- I heard Sabra has a new hummus with spinach and artichoke. So I thought I should just make my own with spinach. I used the Easy Recipe on my ”recipe” page and added a handful of spinach to it!

That is actually a good idea. I have been thinking about doing a video in the mornings before work.
I know missing one workout won’t kill me but I didn’t workout all weekend or Friday either! HAHA oh well…
MMM that spinach hummus looks good!

Great samples to try and the hummus should go well with it.
