Weekend Waffles

by Nicci on 01/02/2010

I finally read the instructions on using my new waffle maker. Did I tell you, it’s actually a ”Circus Shaped” waffle maker. Yes! I ate a circus tent this morning for breakfast.

Breakfast:

  1. Whole wheat instant pancake mix
  2. 1 cup Almond Milk
  3. 1 egg
  4. 2 tlb canola oil
  5. Blueberries
  6. Vanilla Oikos
  7. A drizzle Fat Free syrup

I loved  every bite of this meal.

I think my tent waffle is very cute…felt like a kid. :)

I decided to freeze the other three waffles…clown, elephant and lion for another day.

Saturday Agenda

  1. Whittle My Middle #2
  2. 5 mile Run
  3. Bank
  4. Shopping for friends birthday gift
  5. Shop for Yoga pants

Our washer and dryer are being delivered today! I’m supper excited to wash at home. The laundromat is right around the corner but it adds up in quarters! This is our Christmas present from Chris’ parents…they are sweet!

I start Yoga classes on Monday, so I need to find some good pants. I didn’t see any at Old Navy or Walmart.

Does Target have good yoga clothes? Suggestions?

I’ll be taking classes, where Trinity goes & Kelsey will also be attending too…this should be fun. Yoga is a great workout and I do miss practicing it on a regular basis.

Hope your having a lovely Saturday!!

I’m no help in the yoga pants department, although I will be going to TJ Maxx and Target now.
Just wanted to say I love your circus waffle maker!

I WANT WAFFLES NOW. BTW yogo pants are EVERYWHERE. Target, tj maxx, and marshalls. They are like on sale for 9 bucks!

Kelly January 4, 2010 at 4:05 pm

Those are the cutest waffles!

As for good yoga clothes…I love Target for workout clothes but I also like Old Navy and Aerie. They have cute Yoga and workout pants that won’t cost you an arm and a leg!

Amanda (Two Boos Who Eat) January 4, 2010 at 3:17 pm

Those waffles are absolutely adorable! I bet the fun shape made them more fun to eat too!

a washer and dryer is a GREAT present!!! awesome!!

i buy all my workout clothes at target, they are great for the “cheap” stuff, especially if you dont want to invest too much money but still want to look cute..

I’ve seen super cute yoga stuff at Target!

Great workout! I want to try that whittle my middle – thanks for the idea!

Lindsay Perrone January 3, 2010 at 2:45 pm

I feel like you can get ANYTHING at target. I’ve gotten workout clothes there but never for yoga. With that said, I’m sure they have some options. I would have never been able to freeze the other three waffles like that, at least one more would have been tackled. Good for you. You must be ecstatic about getting washer and dryer. I LOVE having the ability to do laundry in my own house and not lug it all to the mat.

I’m loving the circus waffles. also, I have got to do the yogurt-on-waffles thing. I always use wayyyy too much maple syrup. yay! yoga soon!

I find it really funny that you have a circus shaped waffle maker.

So, you have Cirque Du Soleil waffles?

Also makes me think of a Far Side cartoon when some corporate individuals run away to join the circus.

Re: the yoga gear, what about TJ Maxx or Marshalls?

Karmen @ Fit Twentysix January 2, 2010 at 2:59 pm

Those waffles look so good! I always strike out at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for affordable workout stuff. Not sure if you have one close by, but if you do, it’s worth a try =)

Lee January 2, 2010 at 2:56 pm

Definitely check out Target for yoga clothes. Do you have Dick’s Sporting Goods near you? Sometimes they have really great sales.

Tricia January 2, 2010 at 2:07 pm

Our target has great yoga wear. Running stuff is non-existent though.

heather January 2, 2010 at 12:54 pm

i wish i was still in Denton so i could jump on the yoga going train :)

i found good yoga pants at TJ Maxx not long ago- and for a steal of a deal, as well.

Also- i like Gap & Express Yoga Wear. Call me cliche.

Suzanne January 2, 2010 at 12:16 pm

I think Old Navy actually has some good yoga stuff, Target seems to be hit and miss lately for me.

Katie January 2, 2010 at 12:02 pm

Some good looking breakfast right there!

Katie
