Cruising Along Chevy Style

by Nicci on 11/12/2011

Hello, I’m back from an unexpected blogging hiatus!  Due to my busy work schedule and life…blogging was put on the back burner.

I’ve truly missed blogging  and sharing life happenings with y’all!

In October, I had the pleasure of working with local Chevy DFW dealerships; test driving the new 2012 Chevy Traverse for 2 weeks.

I took a trip to the Texas State Fair & met up with 30+ lady bloggers for the event!

I definitely had a fun time test driving this beauty!

Talk about lots of room & space!

My favorite things about the car: the awesome XM radio & Onstar Navigation…I need both in my own car!

I loved that I could listen to 100+ stations of music, talk radio and sports.  Plus the OnStar feature came in handy, when I needed to find my way around town and Dallas.

Would you like to test drive the new Traverse and pamper yourself??

Bar-B-Que Food Fun Part I

by Nicci on 06/14/2011

I was asked to participate in Chevy ‘’Driving the Heartland- BBQ Tour’’ this past weekend. I’m talking food, and fun which had this ‘’foodie’’ loving every second.

Hello, BEAUTIFUL!

227

All mine for the whole weekend…can you believe it??? I

was told a Chevy vehicle would be delivered to my house on Friday afternoon. I wasn’t aware of the model of vehicle until the Event company left me a voice mail message, that I had to play back FOUR times in order to make sure I was not dreaming.

Participating bloggers were all given a different Chevy vehicle to test drive.

We met up Saturday afternoon to sample delicious Texas BBQ…lots of meat, around Dallas. Our challenge was to use the OnStar features on our vehicles; guess each clue given to us, then using OnStar head to the next dining location.

Our first stop was Sonny Bryan’s BBQ , the Original location, in Dallas.

One of my best friends, Kirstyn, joined me for this adventure.

Sonny Bryan’s fed us giant, crispy onion rings.

I had no problem eating a second ring, after trying a rib and brisket.

Everyone enjoyed the smoked sausage, ribs, brisket while sipping on sweet tea.

I’m talking delicious, finger-licking Southern food!

More to come….

Do you like BBQ, what’s the best BBQ you’ve ever tasted? I love family cookouts and my grandmothers ribs!

Yoga on the Texas Rangers Outfield

by Nicci on 07/11/2010

If I had a ”bucket list” I could mark off: Yoga on a baseball field!! I may need to create my bucket list now.

Chevy  invited me out  to another fun event on Saturday: Chevy Women’s Yoga Series.

Remember back in March when I participated in the Chevy Girlfriend Getaway;  I do miss test driving the Malibu.

My best friend Kirstyn joined me for ‘Hot Yoga’ on the outfield, sweat was dripping before we even started.  Kirstyn’s sister works for Chevy, so she came out for yoga too.

Delicious fruit and yogurt bar after Yoga.

Not to mention a great swag bag: free yoga mat, water bottle, keychain… plus free tickets to a home game.

I’m ready for that home game later this month with Chris, he was stoked about the free tickets.

What fun things happend to you over the weekend?

Cruisin Down to Central Market

by Nicci on 03/29/2010

This past Thursday, I accepted the Chevy mission to cruise down to my local Central Market in Plano, Texas for some shopping.  Chevy provided me with a little shopping money, which came just in time for my monthly grocery trip.

Shopping + Food = Happy Foodie

I invited one my girlfriends, Kirstyn, to come along with me on this shopping event. We both have busy schedules so we did our shopping later in the evening.

My favorite department of Central Market was the produce department. They have a wide selection of fresh produce.

We spent some time with an employee showing us around every department.

We even sampled the Fermin Iberico Ham, wopping $179.00 a pound….Whoa.

Best tasting ham I’ve ever had in my life!

After three hours of fun, we loaded up the Malibu with our bags of goodies and headed home.

Kirstyn and I are already planning another trip to Central Market next week.

Remember to vote for ME as your favorite Girlfriend Getaway Blogger and enter to win a two-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio for yourself and three girlfriends, plus $400.00 in resort gift certificates by clicking HERE!

I went shopping with Kelsey and Trinity over the weekend too.  More fun pictures/video to come from that adventure.
