Spicy Cheese In The Mix

by Nicci on 01/23/2010

Thank you for all the sweet comments regarding the ”weight” post yesterday. You were are all so kind and I appreciate the support I receive in the blogger community.

Breakfast:

This morning I chowed down to a grilled cheese and vanilla Greek yogurt. (not pictured)

Jalapeno cheese, sprouts and avocado

A spicy and delicious start.

Lunch:

Black bean soup with more spicy cheese melted on a slice of toast and popchips.

I received these Dr. McDougal Soups from Erin, in her giveaway I won last week.

Perfect lunch for this rainy Saturday.

My mail lady scared me this morning, she tends to knock on the door really hard.

She did bring me goodies: I won We Are Not Martha’s Blog Anniversary Swag Bag… thanks ladies.  Super cute tote that I’ll be carrying around town.

I love all the goodies inside : garlic zoom, bodum travel presser, coupons, barney butter and a coupon organizer.

Saturday Agenda:

  1. 30 Day Shred
  2. cleaning the kitchen
  3. laundry
  4. reading all the new mags I received in the mail

Confession:

I’ll be updating the Fitness page tomorrow. I have been slacking on logging and training for my Half  in March.  I’ve been doing more treadmill running than outside running.  Chris and I discussed starting up again tomorrow outdoors and maybe picking a different Half to run in April instead of March…more on that later.

I <3 sprouts and cheese!
Also, my mail lady has a police knock too. I'm like, "Just a second, officer, sir!"
Scares the hell outta me!

Tricia January 26, 2010 at 5:08 pm

Yum, that girl cheese looks great!

Angela (Angelalovesfood) January 26, 2010 at 12:44 pm

Congrats on the bag :o ) I love grilled cheese, esp if you can add sprouts to it, and it looks good!

I just read your previous post, it’s so easy to let others comments dictate how you feel, I am sorry :( but you are right! it shouldn’t and look at how far you’ve come to stray from the habits from college. I can relate to emotional eating, I deal with it everyday, but when I fail, I realize that it’s a work in process thing. we’re all a “work in process” so when we slip, we learn and get back up. A journal helps too for me!

I cannot believe someone made a comment about your weight. How freakin’ rude. Do not let it get you down.
You are beautiful. Love your body and treat it right – good food, good exercise and fun times :)

Tracy January 25, 2010 at 9:45 am

Oh my my! That grilled cheese looks amazing. Never thought to put sprouts and avocado in it! Mmm. Soup and pop chips? Yep, I’m definitely won over. Dedicated follower here. :)

SO much good food going on here! the mcdoughals soups in a box are SO good! I love them all, I had a package sent to me as well and I love how they are not salty at all and super satifsying! MMM GRILLED CHEEEESEEE :)

Mari January 24, 2010 at 2:12 pm

That sammie looks so good! Guess what…I FOUND THEM! (popchips)

Emily January 24, 2010 at 1:54 pm

Your grilled cheese looks delish! I love that you added sprouts.
I read your post from yesterday, and you made some really wise observations. I think it’s so rude when people make comments about weight, whether they think others are too thin or too heavy. Unless they’re genuinely concerned, it’s really none of their business!

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Trinity January 24, 2010 at 12:32 pm

I love that bag!

Kelly January 24, 2010 at 12:27 pm

That grilled cheese looks AWESOME!!! You have officially just sparked a major craving!!! :)

Lindsay Perrone January 24, 2010 at 10:13 am

Holy crap, that grilled cheese looks INTENSE!!! How can you have jalapeno cheese in the house and not string cheese? I’d eat the whole block! That goodie bag looks amazing. Congrats. Confession: Every time my doorbell rings I have a small panic attack.

Brittany January 24, 2010 at 8:26 am

caronae January 23, 2010 at 8:50 pm

Good luck with the outdoor runs! It can be hard to get out there in the winter. Grilled cheese with avocado is a really clever combination!

Neekoh January 23, 2010 at 7:13 pm

CONGRATS on winning the swag bag :)

Aneta January 23, 2010 at 2:38 pm

hello hello!

for some reason your blog got erased from my favourites and i have not been able to keep track of what your are doing!

i hope all is well!

so ur doing a half marathon? you still have lots of time to prepare. you still have like a month and a half. I think that is enough time to prepare. Unless you dont think you will be ready, then there is no harm of pushing it back a month or so. No worries. Better to be ready and properly trained then not 100% ready and maybe get injured. There is lots of races. There is only 1 u!

oh question: Are you doing the 30 Day Shred?? What day are you on? Do you like it?
I am on level 1, day 5! so far, so good. But i am pretty much ready to go to the next level. this one is getting a bit boring!

anyways, hope ur having a good weekend! :)

Nicci January 23, 2010 at 9:38 pm

Hey Miss Aneta, yay great job on the shred. sticl with level One…sometimes Two. It too hard on my knees sometimes.
