Goal Getter

 goals

I think it’s time for Nicci to write down some goals and get moving!

What is a goal?  The purpose toward which an endeavor is directed; an objective.

Personally I prefer mini goals b/c they help me stay focused & not get side tracked.  I’m going to start writing down a few weekly goals to help me in every day life!

Nicci’s Weekly Goals:

  • drink more water
  • stop drinking Sweet Tea (Chris loves it & were buying a jug every week)…it’s like crack!
  • go to bed before 10pm
  • clear off my office desk everyday before I leave work

Just a few, but you have to start somewhere.

What are your goals right now! (fitness related or not)

“The tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.” — Benjamin E.

I do almost everything in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce and its not becuase I don’t eat carbs, I just think the tortillas and bread sometimes overpower the goodies inside! I actually love carbs!

Hey there! Just found your blog. I love this post! Goals are definitely a good thing. We share the same goal of getting into bed before 10! Lately my blogging habits have been keeping me up a bit too late!

I like the fact that you are writing your goals down on your blog – that way they are permanent and there for everyone to see. I think it helps to make you feel more accountable. Great idea!

i completely agree with you on the sweet tea. my only thing is coffee. i get used to having it every day at work after lunch. about a half a cup but still. i feel like it helps to settle my food, which it may. i must try harder. thanks for the inspiration ;) lol.

Little goals are excellent. The reward factor helps to keep us going. By reaching the small goals we will always feel good about ourselves, but with a goal a few weeks down the road it seems like forever to get that reward. I agree that small goals along the way towards a big goal is the best way to get things done. As for my goals, it would be to exercise 4 times a week. It’s tough with my schedule.

my goal is to fit in some exercise while i’m traveling this month. it’s been hard though! i tried sweet tea for the first time a couple years ago when i visited the south. i couldn’t believe i had never had it before- that stuff is good!
