February Celebrations and New Goals

by Nicci on 02/01/2010

February is my favorite Month of the year.  I get to celebrate Black History Month, Valentines Day and my Birthday.  I’m looking forward to new things and mini goals for the month.

February Goals

  • Exercise for 28 days
  • Pack lunch Mon-Fri ( I ate out too much last week)
  • Bedtime before 10pm

Well…I’m guessing you can see I’m not in bed yet. lol

Black History Month Fact:

Dorothy Dandridge

November 9, 1922- September 8, 1965

She was the first African American to be nominated for the Academy Award in the Best Actress category and the third African American to receive a nomination in any category overall.

I loved Dorothy in ”Carmen Jones”, I think she is just lovely.

Whose your favorite Hollywood Actress/Actor from the past?

awesome goals for this month, Nikki! When’s your birthday? I had a dream my bday was this month and for some weird reason I missed it. Very weird and random.

28 DAYSSS is that healthy? shouldn’t you have rest breaks? I’m intrigued though…btw fave ol’ time actress would be natalie wood. GORGEOUS.

I think 28 days is okay, I’m not doing anythin extreme. Some days I will be doing cardio, running and yoga! Yoga is a relazing and not straining on the body.

I love Jeanne Moreau. She’s most famous for her french new wave films, like Jules et Jim.
You know who else is great, although more modern? Pam Grier. She’s been credited as one of the first female action stars, which I think is cool. She’s also smokin’ hot.

She is stunning!!

Dorothy is beautiful! :) I cannot think of a fave actor from the past… hmm. I guess I need to see more “old” movies!

Exercising for all 28 days is a great goal! You will totally make it! :)

Melinda February 2, 2010 at 3:31 am

Great goals. We have been watching old movies and so I go with Clark Gable. It Happened One Night is one of my new favorite movies.
